The Gender Hormone Clinic is a fully independent UK private service focused entirely on gender-affirming hormone therapy for trans and gender-diverse adults. We don't do anything else, and that focus is what makes the service work.
What we do
Hormones, end to end.
Our core service is gender-affirming hormone therapy: assessment, prescribing, blood-test interpretation, dose adjustment, and ongoing monitoring. We start with a video consultation, follow with an in-person visit at one of our three UK clinics, and continue through follow-up reviews for as long as you want care with us.
We don't provide psychological assessments, formal diagnoses of gender dysphoria, fertility preservation services, or surgical referrals directly. Those are specialist skills outside our remit. Instead, we sign-post you to trusted external specialists for those, write supporting letters where appropriate, and integrate any external care into your hormone plan.
Our story
A focused service, built to do one thing well.
The hormone service originally operated as part of The London Transgender Clinic. In late 2022, the hormone team separated to form The Gender Hormone Clinic, a fully independent service with no financial or organisational ties to LTC.
The reason for the split was focus: gender-affirming hormone care benefits from clinical depth, consistent governance, and a team who do nothing else. Former LTC hormone patients moved across to GHC without interruption, and we inherited the clinical records, the duty of care, and the relationships with GPs across the country.
We are not part of the NHS. We operate wholly outside it, set our own waitlist and protocols, and share no staff or IT with the Tavistock or other Gender Identity Clinics. We disclose information to NHS providers only with explicit patient consent.
