ConcurrentlyAs soon as you've booked your initial consultation, you can start arranging your baseline bloods and medical summary, as the two run in parallel. We'll give you links to arrange your bloods and a document to hand your GP requesting your medical summary.
Arrange your bloodsIn-person visit & first prescription
In person · just onceOne visit to our London, Stafford or Exeter clinic. We review everything and, if all's clear, issue your first prescription the same day.

Remote · from £55/moFollow-ups can be in person or remote, though most choose remote. We set up shared care so your GP can prescribe on the NHS where possible; if not, your monthly plan covers it.

Step six isn't the end — it's where your ongoing care begins. Here's what the months after your first prescription look like.
Regular reviews
Your first follow-up comes about 3 months after starting, then two a year while we settle your regimen — video or in person.
Bloods on a schedule
Every 6 months for your first two years, then once a year. The portal reminds you when one is due — nothing to track yourself.
Your fee steps down
£55/month drops to £40 once your levels are stable, typically from year three. Your clinician moves you down automatically.
Support between reviews
Calls with your clinician whenever you need them, plus email and portal support — all inside your monthly fee.

The things patients most often ask about the process. Anything else — just ask when you enquire.
How long until I start hormones?
Usually around 3 months from your first video consultation to your first prescription. Once you're accepted, the video consult is typically 4 to 8 weeks away; baseline bloods and your GP summary follow over the next 4 to 6 weeks, and your first prescription can be issued the same day as your face-to-face appointment.
Do I have to attend in person?
Once, at the start — a single face-to-face appointment at one of our clinics in London, Stafford or Exeter for blood-pressure and baseline checks. After that, all your follow-ups can be by video or phone.
Do I need a diagnosis before I start?
Yes — a written diagnosis of gender dysphoria or incongruence from an HCPC-registered psychologist or GMC-registered psychiatrist. If you don't have one, we'll point you to trusted independent specialists (usually from around £500, with a 4 to 6 week wait). A diagnosis never expires.
What if my GP won't agree to shared care?
You're never left without care. If your GP declines, we continue everything privately — prescriptions and blood-test monitoring included — and keep working with them over time to put shared care in place.
What does it cost to begin?
A £220 deposit secures your video consultation — it can be split into two £110 payments. From there it's £55 a month, stepping down to £40 once your levels are stable. See full pricing
