Professor Channa Jayasena

Professor Jayasena is Reader and Consultant in Reproductive Endocrinology at Imperial College, St. Mary’s and Hammersmith Hospitals, London, and Head of Andrology at North-West London Pathology Services. He leads an internationally renowned service treating complex reproductive endocrine disorders.
He graduated in medicine from Cambridge University and completed specialist training in Diabetes & Endocrinology in London. He conducted research at Imperial College as a Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Training Fellow and later as an NIHR Clinical Lecturer.
Following an NIHR Post-Doctoral Fellowship, Professor Jayasena investigated the metabolic regulation of male infertility. He serves as Chief Investigator on an NIHR Health Technology Assessment funded project evaluating testosterone replacement efficacy and safety in men (TestES Consortium).
