A field report

The hardest part isn’t the medicine.
It’s the conversation.

Why this page exists
Shared care often comes down to how the conversation goes: what we send, how we follow up, and who picks up the phone. Over the years we’ve learned to do it differently. This is what that looks like.
Find a trans-friendly GP

Already looking for a practice that will say yes? These independent directories map trans-friendly GPs across the UK: a good place to start before, or alongside, the work below.

A three-part field report
I. The care pack
Every shared-care request leaves us with a packet attached: drug names, target ranges, dosing schedule, monitoring intervals, and a direct email for the lead nurse. We learned that the absence of any one of these multiplies the chance of a no.
II. The next practice
When a practice declines: a curated list of trans-friendly practices within commute range. Nobody should have to fight this twice.
