Dr Giuseppe Di Taranto

Giuseppe Di Taranto is a consultant plastic surgeon with extensive experience in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. He also has a special interest in breast surgery, body contouring, and gender-affirming surgery.
Having earned his qualification in medicine and surgery from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Rome, he pursued further training abroad, immersing himself in the teachings of renowned institutions. His fellowships in Brazil, Taiwan, Japan, and the UK provided the opportunity to train alongside pioneers in plastic surgery and learn state-of-the-art techniques in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. He has collaborated closely with internationally renowned surgeons Professor Miroslav Djordjevic and Ngamcherd Sitapahul, honing his skills in gender-affirming surgery.
Dr Di Taranto currently holds a position as a lead consultant at the esteemed Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS FoundationTrust in central London, where he specialises in oncological and reconstructive procedures within the plastic surgery and gender-affirming surgery services.
He has led numerous research projects and published articles in prestigious international journals as well as several books. Dr Di Taranto also holds a PhD from his work focusing on innovative technologies for diseases of the skeleton and soft tissue with a particular emphasis on pioneering techniques for the treatment of lymphoedema.
